The Duquesne University Law School is hosting what looks to be a really interesting event. Here’s the description:
An Afternoon with John Marshall (son of Thurgood Marshall) and
Charles Hamilton Houston, Jr.
Tuesday, February, 23, 2010
Power Center Ballroom, Duquesne University
Moderated by School of Law Interim Dean Ken Gormley
Co-sponsored by the Homer S. Brown Law Association
This historic event, bringing together the sons of two of the most significant civil rights figures in American history, is the first time these men have come together to talk about the remarkable contributions of their fathers — and their roles in achieving a civil rights revolution that transformed the United States and guaranteed equal justice for all.
The event will also feature the national premiere of a 15-minute film, produced by noted Pittsburgh film maker Ken Love, regarding the singular achievements of Thurgood Marshall and Charles Houston, introduced and narrated by their sons.
