If you’re unfamiliar with our monthly online discussion for alumni and friends of the McAnulty College entitled, Leaders in Liberal Arts, it is an opportunity to engage in an educational, informative discussion with the College about a variety of topics. Some serious. Some not-so-serious.
Join us on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 12:30 pm for our next Leaders in Liberal Arts Alumni Webinar as Dr. Darlene Weaver, Dr. Maureen O’Brien, Dr. Gerry Magill, and Dr. James Swindal engage in a panel discussion regarding:
“What Makes a Saint? An Interdisciplinary Conversation Marking the Canonization of John XXIII and John Paul II”
As the Catholic Church prepares to canonize two of its recent popes, join several Duquesne Liberal Arts faculty to consider the meaning of sainthood from interdisciplinary perspectives. We’ll consider the legacies of Blessed John XXIII and Blessed John Paul II, look at various ways of being holy, and consider what the Church’s “universal call to holiness” can mean for us today.
