Giving Thanks During the 2016 Holiday Season

Dear all,

Each member of our team here at McAnulty College of Liberal Arts wishes to stop and reflect on what we are most thankful for this holiday season.

As a student, I am thankful for my generous, talented teachers that inspire and guide me during each class. My friends and colleagues at Duquesne do not go unappreciated, either, since they fill each day with excitement and joy. Also, the supportive and fun roommates dwelling in my off-campus house in South Side make for a happy home, so I will be sure to thank them personally when I see them. Each day I get to spend at our University is truly a blessing, and the more I approach graduation, the more I dread leaving this place!

Ultimately, my family members and closest friends who continue to support me despite living three or more hours from me are perhaps the greatest gift life has given me, so I cannot forget them!

Finally, I am thankful for my flexible Work Study job as a Marketing Assistant with McAnulty College of Liberal Arts. My superiors and fellow staff members have been extremely warm and welcoming during my first semester in this role. I’m sure that it will only get better.

I wish a merry Christmas and happy holiday season to all!

Thanks, Kristian Sheeley.
