One of the best chances for incoming Duquesne freshman to learn more about the university was during the Freshman Advisement Summer Transition. FAST, which lasted from July 14 to July 17, is designed to help incoming Duquesne freshman spend a little time on campus before move-in day in August. Students were able to meet their advisors, have photos taken for their ID cards, learn about residence life, purchase textbooks, and much more. There was also the opportunity to meet some of the other freshman who will be spending the next few years together. It was a great day that made campus feel a little more like home, and got all the attendees excited for the upcoming semester. While many were able to take advantage of the days’ events, the one-day trip to Pittsburgh was unrealistic for some out-of-state students. Those who couldn’t make it have no need to worry though; the “D’U Ride?” orientation is sure to supply more than enough time for freshman to get acquainted with the campus and the city. Hope to see everyone in August!
